To measure ghrelin, leptin levels in patients with hepatic cirrhosis.Ghrelin levels were significantly elevated in 45 liver cirrhosis patients compared with controls (P<0.05) .Leptin was significantly elevated in hepatic cirrhosis patients compared with controls (P<0.01) .Leptin levels were in creasingly higher according to Child-Pugh classification, and in Child-Pugh B or C, leptin was significantly elevated (P<0.05) .Levels of ghrelin and leptin were elevated in patients with liver cirrhosis, they may have relations with nutritional status and complications.
