To explore the risk factors associated with diabetic fatty liver (DFL) . The investigation was conducted by means of case control study, including 108 patients of type 2 diabetes with fatty liver (DFL) , 139 type 2 diabetes without fatty liver (NDFL) , 52 nondiabetic nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NDNASH) . Risk factors related to DFL including BMI, WHR, SBP, DBP, FINS, PINS, TC, TG and HOMA-IR. There was no significant difference between NDFL and NDNASH groups on HOMA-IR. The risk factor of DFL includes BMI, WHR, SBP, DBP, FINS, PINS, TC, TG and HOMA-IR. WHR and TG are the most important factors of all. Fatty liver was probably one prediabetic stage, DFL was probably one of components of matebolic syndrome.
