A study on some neuroendocrine changes for viral hepatitis (VH) was undertaken.The serous levels of angiotensn Ⅱ (ATⅡ) , cortisol (CT) , thromboxane B 2 (TXB 2) and 6 ketoperstaglandin F1 α (6 keto PGF1 α) were measured by radioimmunoassay in 297 cases of different types of VH and liver cirrhosis (LC) , in the same time liver functions were detected as well.The levels of both AT Ⅱ and CT obviously elevated in patients in acute period, and AT Ⅱ elevated to the highest level in LC group, while no changes were found for level of CT.The level of TXB 2 obviously decreased in fulminant hepatitis (FH) group.Both levels of AT Ⅱ and CT obviously decreased in restored period but the level of AT Ⅱ elevated in the severe period of disease.A correlation between the several indices of liver functions and AT Ⅱ, CT as well as TXB 2 was found, especially a positive orrelation both the AT Ⅱ and total bilirubin (TBIL) , where as a negative correlation between the AT Ⅱ and albumin (ALB) as well as cholinesterase (CHE) was found.A neuroendocrine imbalance participated in the course of VH.AT Ⅱ is a hormone close correlating clinical manifestation of hepatic diseases.
