Objective To study the characteristics of cirrhotic nodules and its relationship with disease prognosis.Methods 300 hepatic cirrhosis patients were diagnosed by contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) , liver biopsy and clinical indexes.The relationship between the property of the nodules and prognosis were analyzed.Results From the total of 300 cirrhotic patients, ultrasound diagnosis showed 52% hypo-echo, 17% hyper-echo and 31% mixed-echo.Conclusion Many cirrhotic patients showed hyper-echo nodes in the liver, which were different from the previous findings that showed only hypo-echo nodes in the liver.Hypo-echo nodes had close relationship with hepatic carcinoma.
