WT5”BZ]To observe the levels of plasma neuropeptide Y (NPY) in hepatic cirrhosis (HC) , Radio-immunoassay was used to detect the plasma NPY level in 56 patients with HC Results:plasma NPY levels were greatly higher in HC patients than in healthy people[ (179 67+40 22) ng/L vs (132 19+25 07) ng/L], and plasma NPY levels were increased when hepatisis became more severe, and they were higher in the patients with ascites than in those without ascites NPY may be involved in the pathogenesis of HC, and plasma NPY levels might be taken as a prognostic marker in patients with HC [WT5”HZ]
