The changes of peripheral blood T-lymphocyte subsets in pediatric severe hepatitis

Objective To compare the levels of CD3+, CD3+ CD4+ and CD3+ CD8+ T-lymphocytes in peripheral blood between pediatric and adult patients with severe hepatitis.Methods Peripheral blood from 35 children and 30 adults with severe hepatitis was collected.The levels of peripheral blood CD3+, CD3+ CD4+ and CD3+CD8+ T-lymphocytes were detected by flow cytometry.Results Pediatric group, the first year of children with CD3+, CD3+ CD4+ and CD3+ CD8+ T-lymphocytes was significantly higher than the 2 to 6 years old group (P<0.01) ;pediatric group CD3+, CD3+ CD4+ and CD3+ CD8+ T-lymphocytes was significantly higher than the adult group (P<0.01) ;the first year of children with the highest mortality (P<0.05) .Conclusion Cellular immunity in children and adults is obviously different.the younger, the more severe disease, the higher mortality, the higher number of CD3+, CD3+ CD4+ and CD3+ CD8+ T-lymphocytes.Pediatric and adult hepatitis blood CD3+, CD3+CD4+ and CD3+ CD8+ T-lymphocytes were significantly different.
