Abstract: To study clinical effect of lipid microspheres prostaglandin E1 in treating chronic severe hepatitis. Sixty-two patients with chronic severe hepatitis were randomly divided into treatment group (n=32) and control group (n=30) . On the basis of the comprehensive cure, the treatment group was given lipo-prostaglandin E1 20μg once day. The control group was only given the comprehensive cure, The serum level of TBil, TBA and ALT were more lower in the treatment group than that in the control group (P<0.01) after treatment. PTA was more lower in the treatment group than that in the control group (P<0.01) after treatment. PTA was increased in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.01) .The total efficacy rate was 65.6% in the treatment group and 36.7% in the control group. They were significantly difference between two group (P<0.05) . It is indeed effective using Lipo PGE1 injection to patients with chronic severe hepatitis.
