吴健教授，获瑞典乌默尔大学医学博士学位，美国托马斯杰斐逊大学博士后。在美国加利福尼亚大学戴维斯分校医学院医学中心内科学胃肠病学及肝脏病学专科先后任助理教授、副教授及教授达15年。曾获美国肝病研究基金会授予的“肝病学者”称号。 2017年被美国肝病研究会授予该会会士（AASLD fellow）称号。先后获美国国家研究服务奖、新颖探索课题研究奖、美国癌症基金会“新颖科研奖”，先后在权威专业刊物， 如Gastroenterology、Hepatology、Journal of Hepatology、Cancer Research等发表SCI文章115余篇。总引用次数达6000余次。参与法国INSERM、英国RCUK、荷兰STW、美国、中国NSFC重点项目评审和教育部“科技进步奖”、“长江学者”、科技部重大专项评审。现受国家自然科学基金及科技部重点项目资助，主要从事代谢异常、肝脏慢性炎症与癌变及再生医学治疗研究。
