Jidong Jia, MD, PhD, is Professor of Medicine, Director of Liver Research Center, Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University, China. (jia_jd@ccmu.edu.cn)
He received doctor’s degree from the Capital Medical University, China and finished his postdoctoral training at Free University of Berlin, Germany. As a hepatologist his clinical expertise covers viral, autoimmune and genetic liver diseases, with a special research interest on liver fibrosis.
He had served as President of the International Association for the Study of the Liver (2013-2016), the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (2009-2010) and the Chinese Society of Hepatology (2006-2012). In addition, he has served as associated editor of several international journals in the field of hepatology.
