The natural history and clinical features of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease-related cirrhosis

摘要

摘要: 非酒精性脂肪性肝病(NAFLD)是一种与胰岛素抵抗和遗传易感性密切相关的代谢性肝损伤,包括非酒精性单纯性脂肪肝、非酒精性脂肪性肝炎及其相关肝硬化和肝细胞癌,现已成为日益严峻的公共健康问题。阐述了NAFLD较独特的自然史及NAFLD相关肝硬化疾病的临床特点。未来需进一步加强NAFLD相关肝硬化进展机制的探究,有效预防疾病进展为肝硬化,从而减少肝脏相关死亡事件,减轻公共健康相关经济负担。

Abstract: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease ( NAFLD) is a type of metabolic liver injury closely associated with insulin resistance and genetic susceptibility and includes nonalcoholic simple fatty liver, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, liver cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. It has become an important public health issue nowadays. This article elaborates on the unique natural history of NAFLD and the clinical features of NAFLD-related cirrhosis. Further research on the progression of NAFLD-related cirrhosis is needed in the future to prevent the progression to liver cirrhosis, reduce liver-related death events, and relieve the economic burden for public health.
